The Ahrntal Valley

Framed by many 3,000-meter peaks. The valley is located in the northern part of Italy and is the most northern skiing region with guaranteed snow in South Tyrol. Steinhaus, a quaint and hospitable little town in the center of the valley, is steeped in traditions and pure nature.

Steinhaus used to be famous for copper mining. Today it is an up-and-coming skiing and hiking village. The Ahrntal Valley offers countless hiking possibilities, from easy strolls to mountain tours in the summer months, as well as skiing adventures in the Speikboden ski arena and the Klausberg skiing region in the winter months. The Dolomites can easily be reached by car or available bus connections.

Steinhaus is an ideal vacation destination for hikers and skiers alike. Our village offers cable operated lifts starting at Klausberg up to an elevation of 2,500 m. Or how about a hike to the Klaus Lake at an elevation of 2,150 m, one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in South Tyrol!
